Our story
About ImgTask
ImgTask is a small, independently run website that offers free browser-based tools for everyday image and PDF tasks — built for people who need a result quickly, without signing up.
Who we are
ImgTask is operated by an independent team focused on practical file utilities for the web. We are not a large design suite company, and we are not trying to replace Photoshop or Acrobat. Our goal is simpler: give you a clear tool page, let you finish the job privately in your browser for images (or briefly on our servers for PDFs), and download the result — usually in under a minute for typical files.
The site is maintained actively. When something breaks, we investigate. When users ask for clearer limits, better error messages, or a missing conversion path, we take that feedback seriously. You can reach us anytime at [email protected] or through our Contact page.
Why ImgTask exists
Most people do not need another subscription for a one-off job. You might need to shrink a photo for a form, convert an iPhone HEIC so someone on Windows can open it, merge a few PDFs before sending them, or compress a file that is too large for email. Those tasks should not require installing desktop software or creating yet another account.
We built ImgTask around that everyday need: open a tool, finish the job, leave. No forced sign-up. No watermarks stamped on your downloads. Each tool page explains what it does, how to use it, and which size or format limits apply.
No sign-up required
Start any tool instantly. We do not require an email address or account to process files.
No watermarks
Downloads are returned without ImgTask branding stamped on your files.
Clear, practical tools
Each page explains what the tool does, how to use it, and which limits apply.
What you can do with ImgTask
Our tools cover the jobs people ask for most often when preparing files for the web, email, school, work, or publishing:
Who ImgTask is for
ImgTask is for website owners, students, freelancers, marketers, developers, photographers, teachers, and anyone else who needs occasional file adjustments. Typical uses include publishing a blog image, preparing a school or job form, optimizing product photos, converting a phone photo for email, or shrinking a PDF before sending it.
It is not a full design suite, collaboration platform, or cloud storage product. If you need layered editing, brand kits, or long-term file hosting, a dedicated creative app is a better fit. If you need a focused utility right now, ImgTask is built for that.
How the tools work
Image tools are processed in your browser. Browser PDF converters (JPG/Word/Excel/HTML to PDF, PDF to JPG/Word/Excel, and PDF to PowerPoint) also run in the browser. Other PDF jobs still run on the server briefly: Ghostscript for compression and PDF-to-image, FPDI for merge, and FPDF with GD for image-to-PDF. Imagick is not used.
Larger files may take longer to process, and each tool enforces size and format limits so the service stays usable for everyone. Current examples include about 200 MB for many image tools and about 100 MB for PDF tools. Exact limits are shown on each tool page.
Your responsibilities
You remain responsible for the files you upload. Only upload images and PDFs you own or have permission to use. Do not upload illegal content, malware, or files that infringe someone else’s rights. See our Terms of Use for details.
How files and privacy are handled
Private by design
Image tools run privately in your browser — files never leave your device. Browser PDF converters also stay in the browser. Compress, merge, image-to-PDF, and server PDF-to-image use our servers only for your request; results are discarded promptly after you download — we don't keep them as cloud storage. We do not sell your uploads, and we do not use them for AI training.
Like many free websites, ImgTask may show ads and use analytics to understand how the site is used. Those systems are separate from file processing. For the full explanation — including cookies, Google services, and how to contact us about privacy — read the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
How we keep the tools free
Running free image and PDF tools costs money — hosting, bandwidth, and maintenance. ImgTask tools are free to use. We may display advertisements (including through Google AdSense) and rely on analytics to improve performance and reliability. Ads are not part of your file contents, and using a tool never requires paying for a download or creating an account.
